FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS

When was Campus Tutorial Services started?

Campus Tutorial Services was founded in 2010 by James Smith, a multiple award-winning former high school math teacher. Campus Tutorial Services is a dynamic, growing company of very dedicated, caring, highly qualified Tutors!

Do I have to take my children to a tutoring center?

Our office is located in ADDRESS. We do not have a fixed tutoring center location because I think that private, personalized tutoring in your home is the most effective for your child when its done correctly. So our Tutors come to your home, saving you the time and 'hassle' of transporting your children to us, then waiting around for an hour or so. I've always wondered why parents would ever do this when there is a better way!

Where do you Tutor?

We currently work along the ADRESS. I am very pleased to say that we are in the middle of expanding. I anticipate being pretty active in those areas before the 2014 school year is over!

What are your Tutors like?

Our Tutors are Educators with Teacher Certification, combined with a Master degrees in their field, or at least a Bachelor degree combined with 2 or 3 years of verifiable teaching experience. After meeting this academic qualification, they must pass a personal interview, and a nationwide background check. They must then study for and pass our Tutor Certification test to ensure that we are offering consistent, quality instruction to your child. I think you'll love your Tutor!

What Ages and Subjects Do You Tutor?

When I founded the company in 2008, my only focus was math tutoring. Now, Campus Tutorial Services has expanded so that we are working with students of all ages from Elementary through High School who need help with Math, Science, Reading, and English. We incorporate proven Learning Strategies in order that each student will experience academic success, and become independent learner. We offer test preparation help for the ACT, SAT, CLEP, HOBET, GED, ASVAB, GRE, and AccuPlacer testing.

How much do you charge for your services?

Currently, our tutoring rates range from $40 to $50 per tutoring session, depending upon the tutoring package you choose. Each session is approximately an hour in length. You can find more detailed information at our on-line payment page.

What happens if I am not happy with your services?

Please call me on my direct line and explain why we have not met your expectations. I will listen to you politely, and offer possible solutions that would make things right again. Worst case scenario: No offered solution is acceptable. I will at that point, refund your money from your unused sessions along with personal apology and a recommendation to a competitor's tutoring service that I think could be a good match for your situation so your family is not left holding the proverbial bag. We are in the helping business! Generally, what happens is our clients start seeing results, become excited, and recommend us to their friends! Much of our business growth is from satisfied clients, who refer us to their friends!

Do you guarantee that my child will receive an A?

I wish! However, from 15 years of teaching experience, I see there are so many factors that affect both motivation and learning, that I do not believe I can offer a blanket 'grade guarantee' as you might well imagine. We do have a written Customer Satisfaction Guarantee that you will be satisfied with our tutoring services, or I will refund the unused balance of your tutoring sessions along with a referral to another tutoring firm that may be helpful to your situation.

Do You Have Any Referral Reward Program?

I'm so glad you asked! Yes, we do! To each of our clients who refer us, after we gain the new customer, we thank our current client by giving them a free tutoring session! It is conceivable that you could get a lot of free tutoring simply by telling your friends about us! Please check back here as we develop our Campus Tutorial Service Ambassador Program in the near future!
